I made this piece in a printmaking class. I was asked to create a linocut print that had accompanying wood type. The image is comprised of three different color layers done with three different carved linoleum blocks. I chose to do a darker blue for the shadowed parts of the house and a brighter yellow for the lit-up windows to add to the cartoon-like style of the image. The text reading “for sale” was added to give the image context outside of simply being a haunted house.
