
I made this piece in a figure drawing class. I was asked to create an 18-inch by 24-inch charcoal portrait from a reference of my choosing. Working from a photograph, I drew the Bride of Frankenstein from James Whale’s 1935 film of the same name. Unlike my Frankenstein drawing, I opted to do this one with black charcoal on white paper to create contrast when they are displayed next to one another.
