I made this piece in a printmaking class. I was asked to create a print with a 3-inch by 5-inch piece of zinc etched using the intilago printing process. To create an image with this process, you etch thin lines into the zinc, so I chose a design to which I could add lots of fine detail. Taking inspiration from detailed scientific drawings of animal anatomy, I created this print of a vampire bat skeleton.
